The Tenth Construction Company of SINOPEC

 The Tenth Construction Company of SINOPEC, the former is The Tenth Construction Company of Chemical Industry Ministry and enrolled to China Petrochemical Corporation in 1983, is a leading industrial construction based conglomerates in China, and now a directly subordinate to China Petrochemical Corporation, SINOPEC. Incorporated in 1970, its core business has been in construction and installation of petrochemical plant and municipal public work; general construction contract of building and architecture work; special contract of pipeline and petrochemical pipeline and equipment work, environment protection work and power generation and transform work; and also undertakes customized equipment fabrication, heavy lifting and transportation, and repairing of heavy mechanical equipment as well as shutdown maintenance.

The company has 4955 staffs in total, among them 111 are project managers, 91 are construction engineers, 740 are engineering technical personnels, 1398 are professional management personnels and 2619 are key skilled workers. In addition there are 11062 skilled workers in our affiliated enterprises. The percentage of each group to overall employees is that of construction management and technical personnel: 31%, project manager: 3%, business and cost management personnel: 8%, adminastrition personnels: 6% and skilled workers in different trade: 52%.

  For the past 36 years since it established the company has completed the construction of more than 300 sets medium or over-sized projects in the section of chemical, refinery, pharmacy, textile, power station and etc. It possesses Grade One Enterprise Qualification Certificate for Petrochemical Construction issued by the State Construction Ministry and Qualification Certificate for Contracting Overseas Construction. The Company has the authentication certificates of quality system conformity with GB/T19001-2000-ISO9001:2000 and occupation health and safety management system conformity with OHSAS18001:1999; AAA Grade Credit Certifiacte, ASME “U” & “S” authorized certificates and stamps and permit certificate for manufacturing of AR3 class boiler and pressure vessel issued by State Labor Ministry. It has been awarded the prize of “Contract observing and credit keeping” for continuous 20 years from 1986~2006. The projects of 16 plants of Qilu 300,000tpa Ethylene project, Cracking plant of Maoming 300,000tpa Ethylene Project, Tianjin 250,000tpa PTA plant and Hainan CNOOC fertilizer and urea plant won the national top prize for construction --- Luban prize. Qilu HDPE plant, Maoming residual oil hydrogenation and desulfurization plant and Rizhao Bosen pulp plant won state silver prize. Meanwhile there were many state and proventional excellent construction prizes as well as excellent welding prizes were awarded to projects constructed by our company. It has been honored the best construction company by Chain Construction Enterprise Management Association” in 2000 and 2001; and been awarded the excellent construction quality management company by CCEMA in 2003. It has been awarded the state excellent enterprise of general construction contractor by China Construction Association.
