The Second Construction Company of CNPC (abbreviated as SCC) formerly known as the Second Construction and Installation Company, was established in 1956. SCC is a ClassⅠ-general contractor in petrochemical project construction with all the necessary qualification certificates to undertake major projects as outlined below.

 SCC has staff over 3300, including more than 400 Senior and middle-leveled technical personnel. It has fixed assets totaling 400 million Yuan, which include 3000 sets of various construction machinery and equipment, cranes with capacity ranging from 16t to 750t, ranking first in the hoisting capacity in northwestern China.

 

 Since its establishment, SCC has recorded numerous achievements such as the construction of the first and second phases and the subsequent reconstruction and expansion projects of the Lanzhou Petroleum Processing and Chemical Complex(which has been praised as the “Eldest son of the Republic”).Since 2000, SCC has successful constructed many national key projects. As the general contractor, SCC has undertaken 3MTA Heavy Oil Catalytic Cracking plant, 10×104 m3 Crude Oil storage tank and 400-4000 m3 spherical tanks and 0.3MTA polypropylene plant of 0.6MTA Ethylene project. In recent years, SCC has constructed a lot of projects all over more than 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, such as Gansu, Shanxi, Ningxia, Xingjiang, Beijing, Jiangsu, Guangdong and so on. With these achievements, SCC has made innumerable glories in China petroleum development history. Even, we extend abroad to independently undertake the construction project of Khartoum Refinery company in Sudan and are engaged in engineering project in Turkmenistan. Our excellent engineering work overseas has won for CNPC good international prestige.

 

With the corporate ideal of “constructing high-class project and building first-class enterprise”, SCC has completed considerable amount of large-scaled engineering construction in which great difficulty is overcome with use of high technology. The united plant of 0.6 MTA Continuous Reforming and 0.4 MTA Aromatics Extraction constructed by SCC was awarded National Excellent Project Silver Award, the LPC initial station of oil transportation pipeline between Lanzhou, Chengdu and Chongqing, also constructed by SCC, CNPC Excellent Project Gold Award. The 0.3 MTA PP Plant constructed by SCC was awarded by Gansu Province “Dunhuang Buddha Angel” Gold Award. So far SCC has been granted more than eighty awards from the province and ministries for excellent engineering construction as well as more than two hundred national and provincial awards for technical achievements.
